Effective correction and enhancement of images with people requires the balance of maintaining authenticity while maximizing the visual storytelling through clear, compelling imagery.

Solution: Repair lens flare with combination cloning and frequency separation. Adjusted skin tone with curves. Hotspots were also fixed in frequency separation. Overall contrast and sharpening applied.

Problem: Lens flare on the top left shoulder and on goat's nose and hind legs, as well as area on green shirt. Skin tone was too red and white hotspots on the face and arm were distracting.

Problem: Skin tones were too cool. Deep shadows on mother's face and scarf needed opening. Colors in entire image needed to be brightened.

Solution: Skin tone was adjusted with curves. Shadows opened and colors adjusted in Camera Raw. Sharpening applied.

Problem: Skin tones were too yellow. Chocolate pudding needs to be removed from face. Sharpening and color adjustments needed.

Solution: Skin tone was adjusted with curves. Face cleaned up. Sharpening applied.

Problem: Entire image needed to be opened/lightened. Cameras cannot capture deep skin tones with sufficient feature recognition. Food was looking dull and unappetizing.

Solution: Image opened and color adjusted in Camera Raw. Skin tone was fine tuned in curves. Food selectively adjusted in curves. Sharpening applied.

Problem: Skin tone too deep to recognize eyes. Color needed adjusting and warming. This wouldn't print well as is.

After

Solution: Image adjusted in Camera Raw. Various adjustments used to correct skin tone. Sharpening applied.
